“PA Nation” program provides industry-specific training in marketable trade skills to under-represented trainees in what is expected of below-the-line crew in the film and television industry. PA Nation’s training provides qualified trainees a unique opportunity to learn these specialized craft and trade skills from industry professionals who have mastered their trade. 

The training offered covers a broad spectrum of the film & television industry's below-the-line needs, focusing on the most important and common skill applications expected of an entry-level crew member. Sugga’s “PA Nation” training program also incorporates broad-based life skills coaching and support that focus on the myriad of social skills necessary for success in gaining and keeping employment. 

 
 

PROGRAM DETAILS

The production assistant program is an eight-week full-time training program instructed by industry professionals. The program is based in the city of Atlanta, but we will service the Georgia market. 

Participants who successfully complete the program receive 2 years of job placement assistance, career counseling, and support as they pursue their career in the film/tv industry. The PA Nation program is free of charge; however, trainees must be able to cover their personal expenses during the training and job search. WHO CAN APPLY + ELIGIBILITY

Applying is a highly competitive process.

The following are our core eligibility requirements:

  • At least 18 + years old

  • Have a valid GA driver’s license or Valid ID

  • Current Georgia resident and able to prove residency.

  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S

  • Available full-time and able to attend training Monday through Friday, 9:00am-4pm

  • Able to make a 2-year commitment to working in the industry

  • Available after graduation to work freelance, on-call 12/14+ hours per day in TV/film & video production

 

PA Nation Basic Training was designed specifically to introduce and expose youth aged 14-17 from underserved communities to opportunities in the film & television industry.

The production assistant basic training program is 2 weeks long, part-time, including studio visits and homework. Participants who successfully complete basic training and express interest in a career in production will be eligible for internships working part-time on set shadowing professional crew members.
